Design our Boards Competition

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of taking over at Bluebell Estates in Aylesford, Managing Director, John-Paul Rafferty held a competition to design their next FOR SALE board with a £1000 cash prize on offer to the winner as well as £100 runner up prizes. The competition was open to all ages from people across the county. The entries were judged with local MP Tracey Crouch and the winner was a 17 year old called Chloe Jones from St Simon Stock Catholic School who will see her design on Bluebell Estates boards in 2018.

When asked what inspired this idea John-Paul told us ‘ We had been thinking long and hard about a way to celebrate our first decade in business and didn’t feel a one off event would be enough. We wanted to come up with a fresh new design for our boards anyway and then it dawned on us that we could ask members of the public to submit designs and hopefully get people thinking outside of the box. We felt it would be a great way to involve the local community and the added cash prizes would give people an additional reason to want to enter! We’ve never heard of any agency running such a competition so this could well be a first in the industry, at least in our county anyway. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the entries and the imaginative designs from children as young as 4 years old. I can’t wait to see Chloe’s new boards popping up on the houses we are selling in the new year.’ Thank-you to all those who entered or and supported this unique competition.
