East Farleigh is a small but sprawling village on the South side of the River Medway approximately 3 miles from Maidstone. The village boasts access to some beautiful countryside via footpaths and bridleways including the Medway Valley Walk which tracks the River Medway. It has country pubs with dining facilities, a primary school, village hall and a train station. The village of Coxheath is situated less than a mile away and has a few more facilities including a convenience store and Medical Centre. Maidstone is the County town of Kent and as such boasts extensive retail, entertainment and leisure facilities in addition to numerous state and grammar educational establishments. The town has mainline train links via Maidstone East train station giving journey times to London of just over 1 hour. The town has links to junctions 5, 6 and 7 of the M20 providing road access to London.
